Are you facing an Unplanned Pregnancy and Considering Adoption in Canada?

Why use Adoption Connections? We can help!

If you are pregnant and considering adoption, please consider viewing the couples registered on Adoption Connections Waiting Parents Registry.

It is free, PRIVATE, easy, and most of all, it allows you to make your OWN DECISIONS about the kind of adoption you would like.

You are welcome to contact any potential couples on the registry by using their available contact information. Please note that all couples have finished a valid home study in their province of residence and have been approved for adoption.

Only about 25% of women who make an adoption plan are teenagers. The majority of women who make an adoption plan are single mothers in their twenties. There are a lot of myths out there but adoption can be a valid and rewarding experience, and nothing like it was 20 years ago.

You will find, as you read about the couples on this website, that many of them encourage an open adoption, where you have identifying information about one another as well as agreed upon contact. However, if you prefer a closed adoption, that is always an option as well. Consider what your ideal adoption plan looks like. Then check out the Waiting Parents Registry to see whether there is a couple who matches what you are looking for.

You will have to find a lawyer or licensee to represent you in the adoption. Usually you can find this by looking in the yellow pages or by finding information via the internet. Adoption Connections does not make recommendations regarding any of the couples in our parent registry. Adoption Connections is not an adoption agency and we are not adoption professionals.

Making false claims of pregnancy and an adoption plan is cruel, and under no circumstances can money ever change hands. Please read our disclaimer for further information, and always remember to contact an adoption professional for proper advice on how to proceed.

If you are facing a crisis pregnancy and leaning toward parenting, Crisis Pregnancy Centres (CPC) and Pregnancy Care Centres (PCC) provide counselling and practical support for women facing unplanned pregnancies. They may be able to assist you with obtaining minimal maternity and baby clothing, diapers, and a crib to help you get started as a new parent, should you decide to parent.
